How we use it

We turn GA4 and operational data into decision-ready Power BI dashboards.

Where it fits

Power BI is where operational and marketing data become a decision. We model the data first, then build dashboards a board can read in two minutes without needing an analyst present.

Why we rely on it
Combines GA4, platform and ERP data in one view
Scheduled refresh and row-level security for wider distribution
Familiar to finance teams already in the Microsoft stack

Reporting that leadership can act on

Most organisations do not lack data; they lack a view of it that supports a decision. Power BI is where we consolidate marketing, commerce and operational data into a small number of decision-relevant measures — trend, target and variance — with plain-language commentary rather than a wall of charts.

The design constraint we hold ourselves to is that a board should absorb the report in two minutes without an analyst present to interpret it. Dashboards that require narration are dashboards that will not be used.

How we build it

Data modelling first. Combining GA4, advertising platforms, commerce and ERP data requires agreed definitions — what a lead is, when revenue is recognised, how returns are treated — and those definitions are decided with the people who use the report, not assumed by us.

Then scheduled refresh so figures are current, row-level security so a regional manager sees their region and an executive sees everything, and clear labelling of anything that is modelled or estimated rather than measured. Where a number carries a caveat, the dashboard carries it too.

Where it earns its place

For our rates and collections work it supports operational reporting that must withstand external review. For commerce clients it reconciles inventory, sales and campaign performance in one place. For marketing programmes it is where paid, organic, AI-visibility and conversion data finally sit side by side — which is the only way to see whether the whole system is working rather than whether one channel looks busy.
